FeedCity

You can now share posts in FeedCity.

Hit the green “Quote” icon and you’ll see the “Share” dialogue open. Write a note and hit “Share”.

Writing a note or comment is mandatory. I feel it’s often those personal comments that make sharing extra useful and/or interesting. It’s a “Quote-Post” not a “Re-Post”.

Webmentions

Just as with “Likes”, a webmention is sent for supporting websites (denoted by the orange webmention icon).

Bookmarklet

And of course there’s also a bookmarklet, with which you can share any website you’re currently visiting. You’ll find it - like all bookmarklets - on the “Add” page.

Following other citizens

You can follow any FeedCity citizen from their “shares” page ¹. Here’s mine: https://feed.city/c/dan/shares. And anyone else with a feed reader can follow your shares, too. They just need add .atom or .rss to the URL and add this to their feed reader.
