Likes

You can now “like” any post within FeedCity, simply by tapping or clicking the heart icon at the bottom.

This gives you another possibility to collect posts in a separate list.

Webmentions

If you have a citizen name set, and the site supports Webmentions, FeedCity will also send this “Like” to the author of the article and/or site in form of a webmention.

Webmention support is now also indicated by the small orange “W”-sign next to each feed’s name (if there’s no icon, there’s no Webmention support).

Individual “Likes” are public, so that the receiving site of the Webmention can verify it and has the ability to link back to it.

Like any web page

Just like with bookmarks, you can also “like” any web page. There’s a new bookmarklet available on the “Add” page you can copy to your browser’s toolbar. Tap/click this when you’re on any website, and it will get added to your “Likes”. If the site supports Webmentions, FeedCity will also sent one out.

Misc

There’s no public list of your “Likes” within FeedCity.

But like all lists, “Likes” also come with their own set of private RSS and Atom feeds you can use to integrate in whatever workflow you want. You find all private feeds on the “Account” page.
